This is a tricky spot for us. We want to Thank everyone who did anything to get us to where we are and we all worry about missing anyone. No matter how small you think your contribution may have been, it helped more than you may know. We do also want to list a few things as well and we deeply apologize if we missed you. We are still new to organizing something like this and don't have the best records yet (All John Kendall's fault; somehow).
First off, thanks to the Kendall's who hosted JSW the first three years on their land at The Barn. Along with that, they let us use the buildings on the property along with other crucial track building heavy equipment and donated generously to help cover costs to keep prices lower for the racers.
Huge shout out here to Dave Cornelius for volunteering to head up the driver’s meetings and safety issues, flagging the races, making announcements, and generally just being very concerned about all of us and conscientious about everything while still being entertaining. You keep the day running smoothly.
We would also like to mention Brad Maney and Steve Kutchera for volunteering equipment and donating the fuel for that equipment to help build the track, parking areas, and spectator stands. Also... don't tell Brad we mentioned him on the site, he'll groan at the recognition.
Another thank you is going out to Tom and Sherry Dobbins, they do a lot in the background throughout the year and help cover some costs to help us out. Sherry using her skills in graphic design to make stickers, t-shirts, and banners. Tom helps all year round with not only his son's race sleds, but even the competitions'. He also helps with track building, JSW improvement ideas and leg work, and is always helping set up at the event to make it more fun and safer.
Three Lakes - Brule River Trails Snowmobile Club came in on our third year as we asked them if they could run concessions, bring some grooming equipment, and help us with figuring out insurance. They did and continued to into the 4th year. We appreciate all the help guys, the race tracks and food have been phenomenal and we hope that the arrangement is also beneficial to the club! Got to support your local clubs!
Also wanted to thank Jena Kendall for building our first website for us voluntarily! We decided she babysits John and his dumpy friends too much as it is, so we put our big boy pants on and made this one.
As mentioned before, we sure hope we didn’t leave anyone out. There are a lot of people who participate and contribute and we greatly appreciate every bit of it and every one of you! Huge thank you to all of you who helped work on the track, brought or bought food, did setup or cleanup work, or lifted a finger in any way. It does not go unnoticed or unappreciated!
We are having such a fun time with JSW and we hope that we can continue with this 2-stroke fueled experiment.
