**Junker Sled February 24th, 2024 CANCELLED**
Hello all, it is with heavy heart that we have to write this post but due to a decision outside of our control, we can't carry on for this year.
John and I did everything we possibly could, but at this time all we can do is thank everyone for helping us push it as far as we did. We called in some big favors and had some entities and people helping us in huge ways and the appreciation we have for that cannot be understated.
Special thanks to:
These private businesses and snowmobile club were willing to throw either major assets, financial backing, and/or many hours of manual labor at Junker Sled to see it go on.
There are many more people to thank, there is too many to list, and that includes all the people who have helped throughout all the years of Junker to make it what it is today. It's awesome and without it we would not have had the support we did this year to bring in and run snow guns! That portion of this was still a go, so seriously if you're free, go hit up Keyes Peak Hill for their Uphill Snow Drags! John and I are planning on going and hope to see a large Junker presence there!
Their link can be found here: https://www.facebook.com/events/386907117067087 or by searching: Keyes Peak Uphill Snow Drags on facebook. We will be promoting their event in the time coming up to it.
Thanks again to everyone and we're already looking forward to 2025!!!!!!
Sorry this is so last minute, but it took some time to try everything we could.
This a story about how Junker Sled Weekend got started and a little info about who we are as a group.
We have a few choices of events and classes that should allow for just about anyone to fling some crusty and crooked snowmobiles around on the snow.
To help keep Junker on a good high pedestal, please read and follow the rules. If you want to participate, it is your responsibility to know and understand them.
What good is having a bunch of sketchily thrown together "race" sleds if we don't take some pictures and show them off a little??
Besides the pain, how'd you do?
As cliche as it might be to say, Junker would not be possible without all the awesome people and organizations behind us. We just hope we don't miss anyone!
